Proposal: iOS app for Blinko

Hi!

I’d love to help by working on an iOS app for Blinko (most likely Tauri‑based / web stack reuse), and I’d like to do it in a way that can be considered official, not just a random third‑party fork.

What I’m proposing

• Build an open‑source iOS app under GPL‑3.0, reusing the existing Blinko stack as much as possible.
• Start with a minimal feature set: auth, notes (view/create/edit), search, AI chat.
• First step: ship a TestFlight build so you and interested users can try it and give feedback before any public App Store release.

Branding / App Store

Before I start publishing anything, I’d like your opinion on:

• Would you prefer it to be:

• published from an account you control (and I maintain/contribute),
• or temporarily from my own account, but with your explicit approval to use the Blinko name,
• or only as a clearly unofficial client with a different name?

Questions

1. Are you interested in having an official iOS app if I do most of the initial work?
2. Where would you prefer the code to live (main repo, separate blinko-ios, or a fork to start with)?
3. Any preferences/constraints on tech choices (pure Tauri vs hybrid) or release process (including how you’d like TestFlight/App Store to be handled)?

If you’re open to it, I can start with a small PoC and then open a tracking issue linked to this discussion.

why not using just capcitor/webview ?

cause difference between ios webapp, is the ability to use share with from other app... or search from ios nativ search bar, no ?
