Hide empty element-icon

Hello! I am trying to make a menu with rofi that will display cliphist list with decoded image entries but the problem is that not everything i copy is an image. So what happens is that the element-icon inserts basically a white space of the size of the element-icon. Is there a way to set a different size for when the icon is empty?

This is the theme i am using and modified to make the icons appear underneath the element-text

No, this is not possible, every element in the listview is the same size for speed/consistency reasons.
