Cannot Get Json from nordvpn

Hello,
I am having this problems on several Debian stable machines upon installing openpyn from scratch.
This is critical because it simply does not work.
Can you please look into this?

$ sudo openpyn it -f --tcp

Any reaction on this? Openpyn is now unfortunately unusable for me.

Any resolution to this? I'm guessing not based on no response but thought I'd ask to see if anyone can offer any guidance.

It seems that nordvpn itself opensourced their Linux app https://github.com/NordSecurity/nordvpn-linux

@jotyGill do you have any idea to fix this or do you recommend to switch over to NordVPN's native linux app?

Edit: when selecting a specific server as suggested by error message, updating to new credentials for manual access as required by nordvpn, and 'sudo rpi-update' my openpyn is working again. However, the basic functionality of selecting best nordvpn server has been lost.

I have forked a version of openpyn at https://github.com/aspeakman/openpyn-nordvpn which has been modified to use v2 of the NordVPN API. This is a limited version which no longer uses nominatim.openstreetmap.org to find locations so it loses the ability to select servers by region/state (but you can still select by city and country)

@aspeakman Thank you for your fork. I tried it but with no success. Installation description "sudo python3 -m pip install --upgrade" is missing "openpyn" at the end of the line. After successfully installing, I still get "Cannot GET the JSON from nordvpn.com, Manually Specify a Server using '-s' for example '-s au10'" when testing your example "openpyn au -a melbourne". "openpyn --help" still gets the original helpfile without the new meaning of the -a option
-a AREA, --area AREA Specify area, city name or state e.g "openpyn au -a victoria" or "openpyn au -a 'sydney'
It seems as if the original version is still running.

The install line has a dot at the end (I will make the README clearer). This is because it is installing from the local directory not the pip repository

sudo python3 -m pip install --upgrade .

You are right to look at the help file which should have the following line in it

-a AREA, --area AREA  Specify city name only (no regions any more) e.g "openpyn au -a melbourne" or
                        "openpyn au -a 'sydney'"

Also openpyn -v should return

openpyn 3.1.0
