I had many environments in my vs code but after installing insiders neither of those environment is displayed while I try to select a kernel in Jupyter notebook .

Hi! Sorry to hear you are facing this issue! What type of environments do you have and do they show up when you run "Python: select interpreter" vs when you go to select a kernel? Could you include a screenshot of what you see when you try and select a notebook kernel? Finally can you check your python environments and python logs to let me know if you see any errors there. on VS code , I have these environments

But on VS Insiders

If I try to activate it on Terminal , I face no problems. But If I try on Jupyter notebook or Python , I. dont see my environments.

But when I install an extension to check my environments on vs insiders. It displays all of my environments.

this is very weird. I have rebooted twice, but it didn't solve the issue.

I am using a Mac with apple silicon M1 Pro.

Thanks for all the info! To get logs, first set your log level to trace via theDeveloper: set log level command in the command palette then check the output panel and select "python environments" from the dropdown. Just to make sure I understand, it is just the conda version that are missing from the dropdown?

Well I use conda as my primary environment manager. so virtualenv's doesn't matter much here I guess.

I am still facing this problem, I see my environments in the python extension under named conda environments, but I cannot pick them while I try running my Notebook and selecting the kernel . Once I fix the environment in python extension it works well.

This issue specifically is raised in my VS-code-insiders but does not exist in VS-Code.
