Invitation to conda-forge recipe maintainership for erdtree #265

@salim-b

Description

@salim-b

Hi @solidiquis!

First of all, thank you a lot for developing and sharing erdtree!

A few days ago, I've successfully submitted1 erdtree to conda-forge, the cross-platform package repository used by tools like pixi2.

Currently, I'm the only erdtree recipe maintainer (maintainers have push access to the feedstock repository). Ideally, the original author would (also) become recipe maintainer to reduce "supply-chain attack" risks and ensure interruption-free updates.

The conda-forge feedstock repository containing the erdtree recipe is here: https://github.com/conda-forge/erdtree-feedstock

So, I'd like to ask: @solidiquis, would you welcome being listed under recipe-maintainers?

I (@salim-b) would be happy to continue maintaining the erdtree feedstock (if desired), so for the time being you generally wouldn't need to spend much time on the erdtree feedstock. It would just be reassuring that you as erdtree's main author could step in (merging bot PRs etc.) in case I'd be unavailable or anything.

Looking forward to your reply. Of course, I understand if you'd rather decline the invitation.

In case you're unfamiliar with conda-forge, here's the most relevant documentation:

Footnotes

  1. PR is found here.

  2. Meaning erdtree can now be installed globally via pixi global install erdtree.
